According to "Quds News Network," two Palestinians were killed by Israeli army fire during an incursion into Tulkarm. The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the "martyrs" were brought to Dr. Thabet Governmental Hospital, in addition to stable injuries in the limbs as a result of the Israeli attack on Tulkarm.
The Israeli army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, stated in a tweet that during a joint operation of Border Police undercover officers and the army, guided by intelligence from the Shin Bet, "this morning during an exchange of gunfire, the individuals Hamza Khreish and Samer Al-Shafai were killed, who were involved in executing the shooting operation near the town of Avni-Hefetz adjacent to Tulkarm that resulted in injuring an Israeli citizen."
The incident comes after a series of cross-border strikes between Israel and the Gaza Strip last week, and amid ongoing violence over the past year, which has seen numerous Israeli raids in the West Bank and a series of attacks carried out by Palestinians against Israelis.
