The Ministry of Commerce announced today, Friday, that it has issued a special order to permit barter trade with Afghanistan, Iran, and Russia in certain goods. The order allows the import of gas, gasoline, and other goods from Iran and Russia through a barter system. Pakistan is currently facing a severe economic crisis, with foreign exchange reserves sufficient to cover imports for only one month. In April, Pakistan purchased its first shipment of Russian oil at a low price. However, no confirmation has been issued regarding the payment method.
