Death of 8 Children Due to Rain in Pakistan

Sanaaullah Khan, the head of the emergency unit, stated on Friday that "8 children (aged between 12 and 15 years) died in a landslide in northern Pakistan as a result of monsoon rains." He confirmed that "a sandrock collapsed after a wave of rain, which led to their burial beneath it," noting that "the Pakistan Army later joined local rescue teams, and the bodies were recovered after hours of efforts. One child was seriously injured while the others were unharmed. The country's disaster management authorities have issued warnings of heavy rainfall, increasing the risk of new floods during the current monsoon season."
