French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday that Ukraine needs to be given clear and strong security guarantees at the NATO summit to be hosted by Lithuania in July. Macron told reporters after a summit of European leaders in Moldova, "Vilnius must send a message to Ukraine and the Ukrainians. I favor stronger, more specific, and very clear security guarantees," adding that he will discuss the matter with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Potsdam on June 7.
