Complaint Message from Lebanon to the United Nations and the Security Council Following Southern Events

Lebanon's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Abdullah Bou Habib, announced that a complaint letter will be sent to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the United Nations Security Council via Lebanon's mission to the UN. The letter reaffirms Lebanon's commitment to UN Resolution 1701 and condemns Israeli violations against Lebanon by air, land, and sea. Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati held a meeting with Bou Habib this morning to continue discussions on the Israeli violations in southern Lebanon and the issue of rockets launched from Lebanese territory. The meeting was attended by the minister's office director, Ambassador Walid Haidar.
