The Beijing Daily reported today, Wednesday, that 33 people have died due to severe floods in the Chinese capital, Beijing, as of August 8, while 18 are still missing. The newspaper stated that the disaster affected approximately 1.29 million people, caused the collapse of 59,000 houses, and severely damaged about 147,000 homes.
