A White House official stated, "The leaders of the G7 agree to engage in bilateral negotiations with Ukraine to provide long-term security assistance, ensuring that it has a combat capability capable of deterring any future Russian aggression, and supporting proper government reforms in Ukraine and bolstering the Ukrainian economy." He added, "The United States will begin its negotiations with Ukraine soon."
