European Parliament Votes to Support Stay of Displaced Persons in Lebanon

French Member of the European Parliament, Thierry Mariani, announced that the European Parliament voted overwhelmingly in favor of a resolution supporting the stay of Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Mariani noted via Twitter that among the elected French officials, only the members from the National Rally party voted against "this insult to the Lebanese and their future." He had also sent a warning message to the Lebanese the previous Tuesday regarding a serious matter related to the refugee issue.
