Turkey summoned the Danish ambassador in Ankara to express its strong condemnation and protest against the "repeated hate crime against the Quran and its national flag" in Denmark. The Turkish government urged Danish authorities to take necessary actions against the perpetrators and effective measures to prevent the recurrence of such provocations, stating: "This act is clear evidence of the increasing Islamophobia, xenophobia, discrimination, and racism that have recently escalated in Europe." It is noteworthy that a far-right group in Denmark burned a copy of the Quran and the Turkish flag outside the Turkish embassy in Copenhagen.
