Targeting of Rescue Workers in Ukrainian Kherson

Ukrainian presidential office director Andriy Yermak announced that at least one emergency worker was killed and seven others injured in a Russian shelling of the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine. Yermak added on the "Telegram" app that Russian forces fired their shells at rescue teams that were clearing accumulated mud in waterlogged Kherson. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko stated in a separate post that "eight rescuers were injured." Russia denies targeting civilians.
