After a Referendum... Elon Musk Resigns as Chairman of Twitter

After a referendum he initiated yesterday on Twitter regarding his continued position, CEO and owner of the Twitter platform, Elon Musk, announced his resignation from the chairmanship of Twitter, according to Al Arabiya channel. Musk launched a poll yesterday evening about stepping down from his role as chairman of Twitter, which saw over 10 million voters in favor of his resignation. The Tesla CEO and new owner of Twitter has faced criticism since acquiring the platform, including recent backlash after suspending prominent accounts under the new policy, including that of tech investor Paul Graham. However, Musk recently tweeted that the goal of the new policy would be limited to "suspending accounts when their primary aim is to promote competitors." Shortly after taking charge of the platform, Musk announced that Twitter would charge $8 per month for account verification, but he had to suspend the "Twitter Blue" plan after many fake accounts were verified. This service has recently been reinstated.
