The Pakistani army reported that six soldiers were killed in a firefight with militants near the Afghan border on Tuesday. The incident occurred in North Waziristan and also resulted in the deaths of four militants. The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility, stating that "its fighters ambushed two military vehicles."
