European Council President Charles Michel affirmed today, Friday, that it is in the interest of the European Union to maintain "stable and constructive" cooperation with China. He added, on the sidelines of the G7 leaders' summit in Hiroshima, that the EU will urge China to intensify pressure on Russia to halt its military aggression in Ukraine. Regarding Iran, he stated that the EU wants to adopt a diplomatic approach with Tehran to prevent it from making erroneous decisions concerning Russia.
