The Crown Prince of Dubai, Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced today, Tuesday, that "the first operational phase of the world's largest and most efficient waste-to-energy center in Warsan has been launched, at a cost of 4 billion dirhams." He stated on his official Twitter account, "This phase will provide 220 megawatt-hours of renewable energy after processing 2 million tons of waste annually without environmental impacts."
