The Russian news agency reported today that the Ministry of Defense stated, "Russian forces intercepted two long-range Storm Shadow cruise missiles that Britain provided to Ukraine." The ministry also mentioned that it "intercepted shorter-range American-made HIMARS and HARM missiles and shot down 19 drones in the past 24 hours." The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has not yet responded to a request for comment. Drone attacks have been recorded deep within Russian territory, hitting oil pipeline facilities. Russia typically holds Kyiv responsible for such operations, although Ukraine has never claimed to carry out attacks on targets inside Russia.
