Death of a Palestinian and Injury of Another by Israeli Army Fire in Ramallah

A Palestinian young man was killed by Israeli army gunfire near the western entrance of the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, and another was injured by bullets amid claims of attempting to carry out a stabbing near the settlement of Ofra, north of Ramallah. Sources reported that Israeli forces fired at a vehicle at the western entrance of Silwad, resulting in the young man being injured by live ammunition and subsequently transferred to the Palestine Medical Complex, where his condition was described as critical before his death was announced later. In another incident, Israeli forces shot at a young man near the settlement of Ofra and arrested him on the grounds of attempting to carry out a stabbing. Hebrew media claimed that the young man ran towards the army with a knife when he was shot and arrested. According to a Russia Today correspondent, Israeli media stated that the alleged stabber is in serious condition.
