Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt recalled the late caricaturist Pierre Sadek, considering that "he was, at that time, the media, summarizing the stance with this cartoon or that beautiful, sarcastic drawing in his own way. He was the alternative to what is happening today on Instagram, WhatsApp, and others." Jumblatt added in a talk via "LBC" station: "The media was elegant and refined. But today, everything has changed; the technologies have changed everything." He noted that "Pierre Sadek captured the historical moment with his brush, with this simple drawing, and he focused on Kamal Jumblatt in his own way through yoga, and on Saeb Salam through the flower, and his sarcasm was dignified, beautiful, and elegant."
