The Director of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stated that "the organization expects to announce the end of the Marburg virus outbreak in Equatorial Guinea next week, provided no further cases are detected." This comes after Tanzania announced earlier on Friday the end of its first-ever outbreak of this virus.
