Liverpool FC announced today, Thursday, that they have signed Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister on a long-term contract from Brighton & Hove Albion. The 24-year-old Mac Allister stated in a statement: "It's amazing to be here, a dream come true, it's great to be here and I can't wait to get started." He added, "I wanted to be here since day one of pre-season, so it's good that the paperwork is complete and I look forward to meeting my new teammates." Mac Allister noted that "since winning the World Cup, I said I wanted to win more titles, and I believe this club will help me with that; that's the goal when you join a big club like this – to win titles, and that's what I want."
