The Lebanese Football Federation has decided to ban the fans of Safa Club from attending the first five matches of their team in the Lebanese Premier League. The club has also been fined 25 million Lebanese pounds as a punishment for the incidents that followed their match against Al-Hikma in the sixth round of the Premier League last Friday at the Amin Abd El-Nour Municipal Stadium in Bhamdoun.
Additionally, the Federation fined Al-Burj Club 5 million Lebanese pounds for the actions of their fans during the match against Al-Ikhaa Al-Ahli in the Safa stadium in the Premier League. They were also fined 10 million Lebanese pounds for incidents that occurred in the Youth League, and the club will bear the costs of damages to the Safa stadium, the amount of which will be determined later.
Furthermore, the penalties extended to Shabab Al-Sahil Club, which has been fined 2.5 million Lebanese pounds.
Regarding players, the Federation fined Safa's player Haidar Khreis 10 million Lebanese pounds. It is worth noting that Khreis was previously suspended for a year and fined 5 million Lebanese pounds last May for his ejection during a match against Al-Hikma, which was also marred by altercations among players.
The Federation also decided to suspend players Hassan Malah (Shabab Al-Ghazieh), Qassem Hayek (Safa), and Jad Shalhoub (Al-Ikhaa Al-Ahli) for one match each due to accumulating yellow cards.
