Helicopter Crash in Nepal Claims Six Lives

A government official in Nepal reported today, Tuesday, that six bodies have been recovered, including five Mexicans, following a helicopter crash. The Civil Aviation Authority stated that "the cause of the crash near Likhu, northeast of the capital Kathmandu, is still unclear," adding that the government will form a committee to investigate. Basanta Bhattarai, the chief official of the area where the crash occurred, confirmed that rescue workers retrieved the six bodies. He told Reuters from the crash site, "We have already sent four bodies to Kathmandu by helicopter and are preparing to send the remaining two shortly." Kathmandu Airport official Tiknath Setola confirmed to Reuters that the helicopter was carrying a Nepali pilot and five Mexican nationals.
