U.S. State Department Disturbed by Settlement Plans in the West Bank

The U.S. State Department expressed strong concern today, Monday, over Israel's decision to proceed with settlement plans in the West Bank after Israel approved the construction of approximately 5,700 additional housing units for Jewish settlers. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated, "We believe that settlements are an obstacle to a two-state solution."
