Kremlin: We are Taking Measures at Zaporizhia Plant to Counter Ukrainian Threat

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated today, Wednesday, that "the threat of some kind of Ukrainian sabotage at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine, which is under Russian control, poses a significant risk, and therefore necessary measures are being taken to address the matter." Peskov stated, "The consequences of any sabotage at the nuclear plant could be catastrophic, and the situation is marked by severe tension as there is already a threat of sabotage from the Kyiv regime, which could result in catastrophic consequences." He continued, "The Kyiv regime has repeatedly clarified its readiness to do anything, which is why all necessary measures are being taken to counter this threat." Russia and Ukraine exchanged accusations yesterday, Tuesday, regarding planning an attack on the largest nuclear facility in Europe.
