French midfielder Paul Pogba has "partially" returned to team training with his club Juventus, just weeks before the Qatar World Cup kicks off on November 20, as announced by the Turin giants. Juventus reported that Pogba, who has not played any official matches due to injury since rejoining "La Vecchia Signora" this summer from Manchester United on a free transfer, has been working "partially with the team".
Pogba participated in running drills without the ball before practicing passing with all his teammates, including fellow recovering player Federico Chiesa, who has been absent from the team since the beginning of the year, according to images broadcast by the club's television.
Juventus has not yet specified a date for the return of the 29-year-old Frenchman, who won the 2018 World Cup with his national team. However, Italian media have suggested the possibility of seeing him back on the field by the end of this month or early November, potentially in the crucial match against French club Paris Saint-Germain on November 2 in the UEFA Champions League.
If Pogba is able to return to matches in early next month, it will enhance his chances of being part of the French national team during their title defense campaign in the Qatar World Cup.
