Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu indicated today, Sunday, that he will take "active steps regarding judicial reforms this week." He stated to the cabinet: "Most of Israeli society recognizes that changes in the judicial system are necessary. For this reason, we will meet this week and begin active steps... in a calculated manner that fits the mandate given to us." Netanyahu vowed to start advancing judicial reform this week, with protest leaders promising to respond with more demonstrations and disruptions. He added: "We were given three months... their representatives did not agree to the simplest understandings. The intention was merely to waste time."
