The Executive Office and General Assembly of the West Asian Volleyball Federation convened in the Jordanian capital, Amman, chaired by the President of the West Asian Federation and the Executive Vice President of the Asian Volleyball Confederation, Ali bin Ghanem Al Kuwari, along with the President of the Lebanese Volleyball Federation, Walid Al-Qasouf, and his deputy, Engineer Ali Khalifa. Al Kuwari emphasized the deep fraternal relations between Arab federations and thanked the Jordanian Volleyball Federation, led by Princess Ayah bint Al Faisal and her deputy, Brigadier Jihad Qutieshat, for hosting the first West Asia Women’s Championship held last November and the ongoing first West Asia Men’s Club Volleyball Championship, which concludes on Friday, March 17.

During the meeting, the minutes of the previous General Assembly meeting of the West Asian Volleyball Federation held in Qatar in December 2021 were approved, along with the agenda for the General Assembly. Additionally, the activities report for the West Asian Federation for the year 2022 was presented and discussed, along with administrative and financial reports. Reports on the sports activities of member federations for the 2022 sports year were also reviewed, and future policies, plans, objectives, and programs of the federation were discussed.
