Fish Causes Power Outage in New Jersey

Officials announced that the power outage affecting a large part of Sayreville, New Jersey, last week was caused by an unexpected culprit – a fish that was apparently dropped by a bird onto a transformer. The Sayreville police stated that workers from the New Jersey Central Power and Light were restoring power on August 12 when they found the fish on the transformer. The police wrote on their Facebook page, "We guess a bird dropped it while flying above us." They added that the suspect "was last seen flying south" and urged readers not to attempt to catch it because, "although we do not believe it is armed, it is still very dangerous."
