Statement from Beirut Airport Administration on Lost Luggage

The administration of Rafik Hariri International Airport - Beirut stated that "some media outlets and social media platforms have reported on the loss of contents from the bags of arriving or departing passengers at Rafik Hariri International Airport - Beirut." In light of the interest in passenger welfare and safety, and to maintain the airport's reputation, the airport administration urged any "passenger who has lost contents from their bag to come to the office of the airport director or their representative at any time, as they will be able to review the surveillance cameras and verify the path of the bag before it was loaded onto the plane if the passenger was departing, or after it was unloaded from the plane if the passenger was arriving at the airport, in coordination with the airport security authorities."
