The parents of Moroccan child Rayan, who fell into a well and passed away a year ago, welcomed a baby boy today, coinciding with the first anniversary of the tragedy, according to local media. His mother, Soumaya Kharchich, told "Chouf TV": "Yesterday was the anniversary of Rayan's tragedy, and today we have been blessed with a newborn; to God belongs what He gives and what He takes." His father added: "You cannot imagine how happy I am." The website "Hespress" reported that the mother's health is stable, stating that the administration of the Saniat Raml Hospital in Tetouan (north) where she gave birth "will hold a celebration in her honor." The site noted the coincidence of the child's birth occurring exactly one year after Rayan's tragic accident.
