Souvenirs with Crédit Suisse Logo Available on Online Stores

Within hours of UBS Group's acquisition of Crédit Suisse under the supervision of Swiss authorities, souvenirs bearing the name and logo of the troubled bank were put up for sale in Switzerland, marking the end of an era in the country’s financial history.

Dozens of gold bars issued by Crédit Suisse, which was established 167 years ago, were listed on the two most popular online stores in the country, "Ricardo.CH" and "Tutti.CH."

Ski hats in blue and red, featuring the initials of the bank's name, which represented peak fashion in the 1970s, were being offered for nearly 200 Swiss francs ($216).

Among other items bearing the bank's brand were old stamps, letters, and sports bags.

Amid uncertainty regarding the continuation of the Crédit Suisse brand, sellers are looking to attract shoppers eager to own a piece of Switzerland's financial history.

It is expected that "Crédit Suisse" will remain an independent brand until the merger deal is completed, after which UBS Group will decide whether to close the chapter on Crédit Suisse's independent identity.

Items related to the collapsed Silicon Valley Bank have also gained popularity online, similar to merchandise linked to Lehman Brothers, which declared bankruptcy during the height of the financial crisis in 2008.
