Title: Swedish Embassy Stormed in Baghdad in Protest Against Quran Burning

Iraqi activists shared videos on social media, claiming they showed the storming of the Swedish embassy in Baghdad, following the burning of a copy of the Quran in Stockholm the previous day. Reportedly, dozens of protesters withdrew from in front of the Swedish embassy in central Baghdad after breaking its gate and entering its courtyard. The protesters chanted "Yes... Yes for the Quran" and many held copies of the Quran, while also displaying images of Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, who called for the demonstration. They burned a rainbow flag representing the LGBTQ community.

On Thursday, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Swedish ambassador to Iraq, emphasizing that an Iraqi individual was involved and urging the Swedish government to deliver him for trial under Iraqi law.
