Russia Enhances Capabilities of Plesetsk Space Launch Center

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Plesetsk Space Launch Center, which it oversees, will receive additional facilities and a new complex for preparing space vehicles and rockets. In a statement from the ministry, reported by the TASS news agency, it was mentioned: "Construction teams from the military have completed a new ground technical complex at the Plesetsk Space Launch Center, designed for the preparation of spacecraft, satellites, upper stages, and the Angara space rockets."

The statement added: "This complex will allow for the preparation of various types of spacecraft before launch operations, and the equipping of upper stages for Angara rockets of light, medium, and heavy categories." It was noted that "the readiness of the facility has been confirmed by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Timur Ivanov, along with a working group that includes the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, Andrei Turchak. Additionally, specialized committees have verified the progress on the establishment of new facilities for the base, which will include a military hospital, a residential complex, and a health complex."
