European Sanctions on Syrian Entities Involved in Drug Trafficking

The European Union announced today, Monday, the imposition of sanctions on 25 individuals and 8 organizations in Syria, accused of being involved in "drug trafficking." This was stated in a document distributed by the Council of the European Union, which noted that "the EU Council has today imposed sanctions on 25 individuals and 8 organizations, as part of the restrictive measures related to the situation in Syria, most of the accused are individuals or organizations involved in the production and trade of drugs, particularly Captagon."
