The Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced today, Sunday, the arrest of four members of the "ISIS" organization in Diyala, Iraq. A statement from the agency noted that "the intelligence and investigations units in the Ministry of Interior continue their pressure on areas that may contain hiding places for terrorists and supporting safe havens, taking advantage of the geographical nature." Through ongoing precise intelligence operations, a terrorist network providing support to ISIS elements in Diyala province was uncovered, supplying them with food and other necessities.
The statement added: "After executing a tight ambush and continuous monitoring, four suspects from ISIS, who were providing support to the hideouts, were arrested," indicating that "their plans and movements that posed a security threat to the province were thwarted." The suspects were investigated under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
