Pentagon officials warned in a draft document last week that aliens might visit our solar system and deploy smaller probes similar to those conducted by NASA when studying other planets. According to the report, as cited by the "New York Post": "It is likely that the artificial stellar object is a mother ship that releases many smaller probes as it passes near Earth, a functional construct not much different from NASA missions. It is possible to detach parts of the mother ship through the gravitational pull of the sun or by maneuvering capability."
The report's authors suggested that a spacecraft may have already visited our solar system. Specifically, they speculate that the first sighting of an alien object was in 2017, when the body now referred to as "Oumuamua" was observed, suggesting it could be a mother ship capable of deploying small probes.
The report states, "With the right design, these small probes would reach Earth or other planets in the solar system for exploration, as the mother ship passes through the small gap between Earth and the sun, just like Oumuamua did. However, we would not notice the small probes because they do not reflect enough sunlight for survey telescopes to detect their presence."
It noted that "Congress tasked NASA with finding 90 percent of all near-Earth objects larger than 140 meters in 2005."
