Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia has a "sufficient stock" of cluster bombs and that Moscow reserves the right to use them if similar munitions are used against Russian forces in Ukraine. In an interview with state television on Sunday, Putin said, "Of course, if they are used against us, we reserve the right to take countermeasures." Ukraine has received cluster bombs from the United States, which are prohibited in over a hundred countries. Kyiv has pledged that it will only use them to dismantle enemy troop concentrations.
