UN: Release of 5 Employees Kidnapped in Yemen

The United Nations announced today, Friday, the release of five of its security personnel who were kidnapped in Yemen 18 months ago. UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq stated in a statement that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the release and "once again affirmed that kidnapping is an inhumane and unjustifiable crime and called for accountability for its perpetrators." The UN did not mention who kidnapped the five security men.
