The Youth of Al Ahli Dubai has clinched the UAE Pro League title for the eighth time in its history, scoring two consecutive goals in the second half to win 2-1 against the home team, Bani Yas. Player Yahya Al Ghassani, who scored the title-winning goal, told television reporters: "I thank the fans, the club management, and the coach... Youth of Al Ahli should be on the podium every year. I promise the fans to maintain this level with the club."
The Youth of Al Ahli, supported by their fans at the Bani Yas stadium, dominated possession early on and was the more threatening side, hitting the post twice through Yuri Cesar and Omar Khrebin. Coach Leonardo Jardim of Youth of Al Ahli stated: "Even if we stumbled today, we were guaranteed to secure the title." He added, "Today, Youth of Al Ahli must be respected, and there is only one champion."
