Title: Arrest of Suspect in One Billion Dinar Theft Attempting to Travel to Lebanon

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, announced the arrest of a suspect in the theft of one billion dinars while attempting to travel to Lebanon via Baghdad International Airport. Major General Rasool stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "According to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to monitor elements of organized crime, and based on accurate information from the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, and with continuous monitoring by the service from Al-Muthanna Governorate to Baghdad International Airport, in cooperation with the Al-Muthanna Police Command, one of the suspects in the theft of an amount of one billion Iraqi dinars belonging to a citizen in Al-Muthanna Governorate was arrested." He added, "The necessary legal procedures have been taken against him."
