The Kremlin confirmed today, Wednesday, that Russia attacks only military targets and not civilian ones. This statement was made in response to a question regarding the missile attack on a crowded restaurant in Kramatorsk, eastern Ukraine, on Tuesday evening, which resulted in the deaths of at least 10 people. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, told reporters, "The Russian Federation does not bomb civilian infrastructure... strikes are carried out on targets that are linked in one way or another to military infrastructure." The Ministry of Defense stated that the Kramatorsk attack targeted a "temporary command post" of the Ukrainian army, but did not provide details about the strike. Local police reported that at least 61 people were injured in the missile strike that turned the restaurant into a pile of rubble. Authorities mentioned that among the deceased were four children.
