The Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) reported, citing the Ministry of Transport, that some flights were delayed at Haneda Airport in Tokyo today, Saturday, following what appears to be a collision between two aircraft near a runway at the airport.
It was added that the incident resulted in no injuries, but led to the closure of one of the airport's four runways around 11 AM (02:00 GMT).
The broadcasting corporation displayed footage showing a plane from Eva Air and another from Thai Airways on the runway. In the footage, part of a wing from the Thai Airways plane appeared to be broken, and what could be debris was seen near the runway.
