Death of Third Security Officer After Attack Near Jewish Synagogue in Tunisia

The official news agency in Tunisia announced the death of a "third police officer today, Wednesday, due to wounds sustained in an attack near a Jewish synagogue in the island of Djerba, where annual celebrations are taking place." Medical sources reported that "the death toll has risen to six, including the attacker." A coast guard officer killed his colleague, took his weapon, and headed to the Ghriba synagogue, where he opened fire, killing another police officer and two visitors, while causing several injuries. The police killed the attacker after a clash.
