A Turkish court sentenced Faruk Fatih Özer, the founder of the collapsed Turkish cryptocurrency platform "Thodex," along with his sister Serap Özer and brother Guven Özer, to 11,196 years and 10 months and 15 days in prison, in addition to a judicial fine of 135 million lira (5 million dollars), according to local media. The platform was one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in Turkey before it suddenly went offline in April 2021, and Özer disappeared. Over 400,000 members were left in the dark without access to deposits worth 2 billion dollars in cryptocurrency.
