Jordan Cancels Quadruple Summit with Biden

Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi announced that Jordan has canceled a summit that was scheduled to take place in Amman on Wednesday between U.S. President Joe Biden and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the situation in Gaza. Safadi told Al Jazeera that the Amman summit was canceled because "there is no benefit in discussing anything right now except for stopping the war." Additionally, Reuters reported that a White House official stated that Biden canceled his visit to Jordan after consulting with King Abdullah.
