The Minister of Finance in the caretaker government, Youssef Khalil, confirmed in a statement that the salaries of all employees in the public sector, whether in the public administration or public and independent institutions, as well as military personnel and all retirees' pensions, will be calculated at the Sayrafa rate of 60,000 for one dollar. He urged all relevant parties to receive their salaries and pensions according to this rate.
He stated, "Regarding the previously mentioned limited cases where salaries and pensions were calculated at the Sayrafa rate of 90,000, this is related to banking procedures that took place before the agreement on the rate of 60,000 and is being addressed between the concerned party and their bank, which will return the difference to the rightful owner." Khalil also urged those who faced similar issues to immediately consult their banks.
