The spokesman for the Civil Protection in Tunisia stated that "rescue teams were able to rescue a 23-year-old man who fell into a dry well approximately 30 meters deep in the Al-Harhara area in western Tunisia." He noted that "the young man suffered injuries to his back and legs and was provided with first aid before being transferred to the local hospital."
