Pope Francis urged today, Sunday, for a diplomatic solution to the political crisis in Niger, which has resulted from a coup threatening stability in the entire region. The Pope said during the Angelus prayer in St. Peter's Square, "I am following with concern what is happening in Niger, and I join the bishops in their call for peace and stability in this country and in the Sahel region."
