Title: China and India Agree to Maintain Calm in Border Areas

The Chinese Ministry of Defense announced in a joint statement with India, during the 19th round of high-level military talks between the two sides on Tuesday, that the two countries have agreed to maintain peace and calm on the ground in border regions. The ministry noted that both parties held positive, constructive, and in-depth discussions regarding the resolution of outstanding issues along the Line of Actual Control in the western sector. The two countries also agreed to urgently resolve remaining problems and to maintain the momentum of dialogue and negotiations through military and diplomatic channels.
