UAE Announces Death of Helicopter Crew Member; Search Ongoing for Another

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority announced the death of one crew member from the helicopter that crashed, with its debris retrieved today, Friday, according to the official Emirates News Agency (WAM). The General Civil Aviation Authority indicated that rescue operations are ongoing at the crash site, where the helicopter went down off the coast of Umm Al-Quwain after taking off from Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai. The authority confirmed that the search is continuing for the other helicopter pilot who was part of the training flight. It was noted that the helicopter pilots, of the Bell 212 model, are Egyptian and South African.
