Algeria: Major Forest Fires Contained

Algerian state television reported today, Wednesday, that Algeria has managed to contain the massive forest fires that had erupted in its forests. The wildfires affected some areas in Algeria, resulting in the deaths of at least 34 people, including ten soldiers, and forced about 1,500 individuals to evacuate their homes. North Africa and Southern Europe are experiencing a severe heatwave, with temperatures reaching 49 degrees Celsius in Tunisian cities.
